Coleraine lodge safety certificate application with Council
AS The Coleraine Times revealed last December, Coleraine Borough Council now has the responsibility to issue a safety certificate for Coleraine Showgrounds, under new legislation.
The certificate will stipulate the maximum number of spectators that can be accommodated at the Ballycastle Road stadium, entry and exit arrangements, safety management and contingency plans in the event of an accident.
At Tuesday’s Leisure and Environment meeting, Director of Environmental Health, Kieran Doherty confirmed that an application for the certificate had been received from Coleraine Football Club.

Hide AdCouncillors agreed to designate the Director of Environmental Health and the Senior Environmental Health Officer to facilitate the implementation of the new legislation, which will result in the Football Club being issued with a safety certificate.
