Coleraine team to aid Uganda Bush Hospital

The bush hospital, founded by Ulster doctor Ian Clark, treats tens of thousands of needy patients annually and is one of the biggest hospitals

outside the capital Kampala.

Gillian Ekin, Sainsbury’s store manager and a member of the team travelling to Uganda, was delighted with the generous public and colleague support for the bag packing fund-raiser in store on Easter Saturday.

She said: “The new lab will improve the speed and range of diagnoses offered at the hospital and will really assist the doctors and nurses

when treating the many children and AIDs/HIV patients who come to the hospital for life saving help”.

If anyone would like to donate mosquito nets, wind-up, head torches, baby vests or baby clothes please leave them in Sainsburys and they will be very much appreciated by the hospital.
