Coleraine to make up 42% of Council

The people of the Coleraine area will make up the largest portion of the new Causeway Coast and Glens ‘super Council’.

Coleraine Borough’s 58,993 residents will account for 42% of the new super Council which comes into being in 2015.

Next biggest is the Limavady contingent which will make up 24% of the Council with 33,761 residents. The people of Ballymoney Borough will account for 22% of the new Causeway Coast and Glens council.

The smallest local authority - Moyle and its 17,129 residents - will make up 12% of the new council.
