Collection thanks
THE international development charity, Concern Worldwide (Concern) would like to thank the local community for the generosity shown during its street collection in Lurgan town centre on Saturday, October 20. A total of £531.54 was raised.
Nadine Campbell, Concern’s community fundraiser said, “I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who helped us reach this total, including our wonderful volunteers who battled with the winter weather that day.
“Even with the economic downturn, the pressure of family budgets and the increasing demands on local charities, responding to the needs of the poorest people in the world remains a priority for local people and this is clearly evident from the amount raised last month.”
