College pupils maintain A-Level pass rate

Hard work has paid off at Carrickfergus College as A-Level students picked up their results this morning.

There was cause for celebration at the North Road school with 100 percent of pupils gaining two or more A*-E grades, while 65 percent achieved two or more A*-C grades.

Some notable successes at A-Level included Rebecca Arthur (BBC); Rachel Bishop (BBC); Amy Cochrane (ABB); Beth Dillon (BBC); Sophie Smiley (BBC), and Emma Sugden (ABC).

Meanwhile, high achievers at AS Level included Olivia Bell (ACC); Matthew Braden (ABC); Joel Hanna (ABC); Corbyn McCallum (BCC); Alex Ogilby (BBC), and Owen Shearer (ABB).

Congratulating pupils on the great set of results, principal Hedley Webb said: “We are delighted with the pupils and these results show that their hard work paid off.”
