College Staff recognised

NORTH West Regional College recently held its fourth Staff Award Scheme presentation, recognising and rewarding the contributions made to College life by its members of staff.

The Scheme allows staff to nominate colleagues they believe have made a significant contribution to the development and workings of the College and for the academic year 2010/2011 four staff were honoured.

Danny Lyttle, of the Marketing and PR Team, was presented with the award for ‘Cross College Role or Activities’; Marie-Claude Quinn, from the School of Early Years, Children and Young People, won the ‘Individual Contribution to a Team’ award; Jane Turner-Moore, from the School for Media, Multimedia and the Arts won the award for ‘Results and Performance’; and Mairead Doherty, from the Workforce Development Department was awarded the ‘Ongoing Quality’ prize.

The nominations were reviewed by a panel of one appointed Chairperson and representatives from the College’s three campuses in Derry~Londonderry, Limavady and Strabane. The scheme was established in September 2009.

Each recipient received a recognition award created by City of Derry Crystal, as well as a £50 gift voucher for Foyleside Shopping Centre.
