“We will once again have an arena area, where there will be a donkey display and duck show in the form of sheep dog trials! Now where else would you see that on a line up?

“We will also have a blacksmith at work, and an arts and crafts area and the renowned pet show – where any pet is welcome from your pet rabbit to a pet sheep - the more the merrier. This really is a fantastic day for all the family and one which I look forward to immensely every year!”

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Michelle Knight McQuillan and Secretary of the Club explained: “This is one of my favourite events because it is so much fun! The show will have amusements and face painting for all the children and along with many vintage vehicles, cars, commercials, tractors, motorcycles, and steam engines you can wander around for hours at end. The arts and crafts with a host of trade stands, reflect our growing and amazing arts and crafts community, and can be found in the marquee. We even have some line dancing and music. It really is an event not to be missed!

Chairman Nevin Smith added, “In addition to all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes from the Club, local businesses including Farlowe Engineering and Alex Farlowe, Digging and Excavation Engineer, Vivian Church and TBF Thompson and Andy Magowan have been exceedingly generous with their sponsorship.

“We are also delighted to have RiverRidge Recycling as our main sponsor for another year. They are a fantastic supporter of our local community and there assistance is very much appreciated.

“The Club is also so very thankful to many volunteers and give of their time freely. Each year the Club hands over thousands of pounds to local medical charities, that is no mean feat, so I’d like to take this opportunity to urge families, far and wide, before you get into the routine of school and work take that last day out and visit Garvagh show on September 5.
