Come along to Ballymoney WI

A short invitation by Irene Burke President of Ballymoney Women’s Institute.

As the long dark nights approach and time is on your hands why not drop into Ballymoney Town Hall on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30pm and enjoy the monthly meetings of your local womens institute.

A warm welcome awaits and you can come by yourself. Eighteen years ago I did just that and I have never looked back.

Women’s institute is cross community, and unites in promoting any work which makes for the betterment of our homes and the development and improvement of conditions of rural and urban life through social and educational activities.

We hope to start a drama class and choir, with other classes in crafts and skills . These will take place on various dates and are not part of the monthly meetings. They are subject to interest and tutors to take the classes.

The October meeting is a home baking demonstration by Mrs Margaret McCullough whose tasty fayre can be sampled at the coffee shop in Ballintoy harbour. November meeting is an evening with Mr Brian Rankin from Aghanloo in Limavady with his style of poetry and yarns.

Each meeting there are prizes to be won, competitions to enter but if you so wish you can just sit back and enjoy the craic, and watch the others partake. You do not have to be talented yourself just be able to enjoy the fun.
