Come join the Tesco girls in Ballymoney

A team of women from Tesco Ballymoney is encouraging local ladies to join the girls at Tesco and Cancer Reasearch UK’s Race for Life.

A group of 30 from the Ballymoney store will be putting their best feet forward and want women of all ages shapes and sizes to join them at Coleraine University on Sunday 12th June.

Together with thousands of women taking part in over 300 events across the UK, they hope to help hit the national target of recruiting one million women to take part in Tesco and Cancer Reasearch UK’s Race for Life 2011!

This year is particularly exciting for Tesco, as it marks a decade of supporting Race for Life.

Geoff Purcell from Tesco Said : “Tesco is proud to have sponsored Race for Life for ten years. An incredible 5.4.million women have taken part in Race for Life to date, helping many

to recover from cancer as a result of the £362 million we have raised together for Cancer Reasearch UK.

This year by working in partnership with Cancer Reasearch UK we’re aiming to reach more women than ever before to help us raise £80 million to fund life saving work”

And, to encourage as many women to participate as possible for the first time ever, Tesco customers can now redeen the event entry fee against their Tesco Clubcard points.

Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event where women of all ages and fitness levels across the country come together tp walk, jog or run 5K. There are over 300 Race for Life events happening across the UK from May to the end of July this year.
