Claire thanked COAST for meeting with her when she took up the post back in 2011 and giving her clarity on what issues were important to local older people. She talked about issues she has brought to the fore such as elder abuse, domiciliary care, pensioner poverty, fear of crime and trying to change the attitudes of people to have a more positive outlook on ageing.

COAST is an inter agency network working to be the voice of local older people across the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. Projects funded by Big Lottery offer support to older peoples groups, networking opportunities, funding for Good Morning Causeway and Good Morning Ballycastle, 4 new lunch clubs and our Handy Person service.
