Commitment to strong local health presence after RPA

THE health authorities are committed to maintaining a strong local presence in Londonderry in implementing the Review of Public Administration, says Health Minister Michael McGimpsey.

The Minister was asked if the commissioning of health services at local level, by locally based staff, will continue following the Review of Public Administration at the Stormont Assembly.

He replied: "In implementing the reforms under the Review of Public Administration, the Health and Social Care Board remains committed to maintaining a strong presence in all of its local offices in Londonderry, Armagh, Ballymena and Belfast.
