Events started on Tuesday and run through to Friday with Bible Club Beach Party where arts, crafts singing and bible stories will keep young people aged 5 –11 years old entertained in the final week of school holidays.

Celebrations conclude on Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm with a Community Fun Day where there will be a BBQ and activities for all the family, concluding with a short epilogue in the hall.

"Every other year our young people travel to take part in a community project. We’ve been working at a Salvation Army hospital in Zambia and last year we were involved in a clean up in Wales.

"The young people really engaged with this and asked if they could do something similar for their own community here in Lurgan, and started by doing odd jobs for older members in the church," explained Jenni Power, Corps Youth Secretary with responsibility for the Lurgan Salvation Army Youth Fellowship.

‘If anyone living in Union Street or Trasna Way has a job which they are struggling with and feel we could assist, please get in touch and we will certainly try our best to help," said Jenni.
