Community Forum to suggest traffic solutions

The decision was taken at Monday’s meeting with public representatives, MLAs and the MP which was also attended by Terry Fulton of Roads Service in Ballymena.

Weekend congestion on the Prom was discussed and a number of potential solutions put forward.

Mr Fulton, however, reminded residents that the difficulty was that the visitors who come to Portstewart at the weekend are perfectly happy to sit in queues on the Prom.

Suggestion such as traffic barriers, pedestrianising the area and traffic lights were all discussed.
