Community in shock at quarry tragedy near Knockloughrim
The death of a local man at a quarry in Knockloughrim near Maghera, has sent shockwaves through the community.
It is understood the accident happened at Drumard Road at around 2pm on Friday.
DUP Councillor James Shiels has said: “Many local people work in the quarry and knew him personally and it is an understatement to say that this tragic accident has caused widespread shock and grief.
“My thoughts are with the family at this most difficult time and they can be assured of my prayerful support as they come to terms with their loss.”
