Senior Citizens Club

The autumn programme for Caw Nelson Drive Action Group Senior Citizens Club, which meets every Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm, at the Crescent Community and Cultural Centre is open to all aged 55 and over.

September 9, Club starts at 2pm until 4pm, card making with Joy McLuckie; 16th, Bingo and armchair aerobics with Mervyn Kirkwood; 23rd, Floral art with Ann McKeever; 30th, Craft class with Joy McLuckie.

October: 7th, Jewellery making with Ann McKeever; 14th, Bingo and armchair aerobics with Mervyn Kirkwood; 21st, Bingo/quiz; 30th, Card making with Joy McLuckie.

Newbuildings

Parent and Toddler Group, including Jo Jingles resumed on Monday, September 8, in Newbuildings Community Centre. It runs from 9.30am to 11.30am and admission initially is £3 and £2 thereafter. Everyone welcome.

Yoga

Yoga sessions return on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8pm. Everyone welcome. Classes cost £6 per session or £30 for a block of six.

Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club started up again on Friday. It runs from 12.30pm to 2.30pm each Friday and is £3 per person. Everyone welcome.

Youth Club

Register for the Youth Club, which runs on Wednesday nights from 6.30pm to 8pm in the centre. This is for all age groups, former children and new members will be welcome. Registration fee is £1 per child.

Donemana

Killyclooney Pipe Band

Killyclooney Pipe Band is appealing for new members.

The only pipe band in the Strabane district, the members meet in Killyclooney POrange Hall on the outskirts of Donemana. The next meeting is on Monday, September 29, at 7.30pm and all new members are welcome to attend. Alternatively contact any member of the band for more information.

Car Boot Sale

Members of Killyclooney Pipe Band will hold a Car Boot Sale on Saturday, September 13, from 1pm to 6pm at Killyclooney Orange Hall car park. Admission is £5 per car and all will be made welcome. For more information on booking a space or directions contact David Colhoun on 07837084292.

SALT

Dance

An Old Tyme Dance will take place in SALT community hall, Tullintrain, on Friday, September 12. Dancing from 9pm until 12am (midnight) with music by Glenshane Country. Admission is £5 and will include supper. Everyone welcome.

Benbradagh Community Support group will hold their AGM on October 1, at their offices at 106a Main Street, at 7pm.

Flying lessons

Disability Pride have teamed up with Aerobility to bring a specially adapted aeroplane to Newtownards Airfield in order to give flying lessons to people with disabilities.

The lessons can be for anyone with any disability, and if needed a family member can accompany you on your lesson. The lesson lasts for an hour. The dates for lessons are September 15 to 19.

Chalet in Lisnaskea

RNIB members are welcome to stay at the Share Discovery Village in Lisnaskea, which includes a sensory garden at the back with musical instruments a spacious seating area and a BBQ, which the chalet complex includes a leisure suite including swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

The chalet is £20 a night for staff, volunteers, blind and partially sighted people and outside groups. Funded projects are charged £100 per night.
