John Whitla, Meadowvale, Waringstown, was convicted of passing counterfeit currency, preventing a meter from registering electricity and dishonestly using electricity at the court on October 31 last year.

He was sentenced to a total of 200 hours community service.

Probation brought the matter back to court because Whitla had failed to attend on three occasions.

District Judge, Mr Alan White, revoked the community service order and said he would take into account the hours the defendant had already done.

For each offence he imposed a concurrent three month custodial sentence, suspended for two years.
