Tourism NI and Visit Derry have teamed up with the Mid Ulster Mail to offer one lucky reader and a friend the chance to see UB40 in the flesh when they headline at Dergfest this month.

Tickets for the concert also come with an overnight stay, dinner and breakfast courtesy the 4* Everglades Hotel in Derry.

Named after an unemployment benefit form, the Birmingham reggae legends are on tour again and are heading back to the studio to record their new album - expected to be released in early 2016.

Formed in 1978, the group entered the music scene with their debut album ‘Signing Off’ in August 1980 – considered by many to be one of the greatest reggae albums ever released by a British band.

Since then UB40 have had over 40 UK Top 40 hit singles and sold over 100 million records, making them one of the most successful British groups of all time.

Performing at Mitchell Park, Castlederg on July 24, the legends are sure to play well known hits such as Red Red Wine, Kingston Town and Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.

As well as dancing and singing the night away, the winner will also get the chance to enjoy views of the River Foyle and across to the hills of Donegal from the comfort of their room at the Everglades Hotel.

That’s if you find the time to kick back in a city that is just bursting with history and lively entertainment.
