Computer Learning FREE @ The BCRC.. step to IT!
The BCRC provides a voice for the community and voluntary sector and is committed to providing training courses for all members of the community.
Community Outreach worker Angela Mulholland based at The BCRC says “There has been a large interest in IT courses particularly among older members of the community, we ran a successful Beginners course earlier this year and we wish to build on this by introducing more people to using a computer whilst at the same time building on the new found skills and progressing them unto the next level”

Hide AdFunding is vital for this training as there is a definite gap in relation to providing the needs for older people, the unemployed and those responsible for caring for children or older relatives.
A lot of statutory criteria rules a lot of members of the community out of the picture ie not being in work or a similar government initiative such as New Deal or Steps to work, under 19, not on a NRC course already or not to be in possession of a level 2 qualification or above… therefore BCRC is committed to providing those people who do not meet this criteria with the opportunity to learn same skills completely free of charge!
BCRC also carried out a recent questionnaire asking members of the community network what courses they would be interested in attending and Computer Courses came very high up on the agenda so The BCRC is now providing what we all want and need for free.
