Concern group thanks Carrick for ‘fantastic suppport’

The Carrickfergus Support Group for Concern Worldwide would like to thank everyone who gave so generously to last month’s collection at Tesco.

Robert Cooney, Concern Carrickfergus, said: “The fantastic amount of £763.04p was raised. This will be doubled by UK Aid who will match each penny making the fabulous total of £1526.08p. We were delighted and the money will be used very wisely by Concern where most needed.

“For over 45 years now, Concern have been working with the world’s most vulnerable people to tackle hunger and transform lives. They currently operate in 26 of the poorest countries and after initial emergency responses, they undertake long-term development programmes where possible, focusing on livelihoods, health, nutrition and education.”
