Concern over state of 'Stick Bridge' path

COUNCILLORS have called for an investigation by their officers to determine ownership of a public Right of Way in the borough which has fallen into disrepair.

Highlighting the “bad state” of the path, which runs from the Leighinmohr area to Railway Street in Harryville, Cllr John Carson told last Monday night’s Council meeting that he had received a number of complaints about the route from the public.

Cllr Martin Clarke said a structure at one end of the path, known locally as The Stick Bridge, was also in poor repair and asked that it be included in any investigation, adding that he believed the bridge was in the ownership of Pattons.
