Starting at 7.30pm, the event will provide much needed aid for the orphanage, which is run by the Tanzanian Christian Farm Development Trust (TCFDT) which is run by Cullybackey couple, John and Pauline Tuff.

In early summer, a team of five men and five women from Ballee Baptist Church who share John and Pauline’s vision for orphans and abandoned children will visit East Africa to help with construction work on a new accommodation block at the orphanage.

The team are hoping to raise at least £7,000 to cover the building costs and also want to generate a further $10000 to drill an urgently needed borehole.

It must be stressed that the visitors will pay entirely for their own travel and expenses so ALL money raised or donated goes completely to the work in Tanzania.

The men will be building an accommodation block and a laundry block while the women are helping with the children in the orphanage day and night.

At present, there is room for 10 babies at the facility, which is in the Tabora region.

It has just taken in its first baby, found abandoned in bushes at three weeks old, who has been named Moses.

For this reason, Friday’s concert is well-worth supporting and everyone is invited to the evening to which admission has been set at £8, which includes light refreshments.
