Congratulations for flute band
DUP Alderman April Garfield-Kidd, has congratulated the members of the William King memorial Flute Band on their recent success at competition.
“I would like to congratulate the William King Memorial Flute Band on their success at the Northern Ireland Band’s Association in Lisburn at the weekend,” she said.
Once again the band won the ‘Melody Plus section’ with their rendition of ‘Vimy Ridge’ and ‘Last of the Mohicans’. In addition, they achieved runner up in the Melody section playing ‘Sons of the Brave’.
“A lot of hard work and dedication ensured performances worthy of praise and triumph,” said Mrs Garfield-Kidd.
