Conleth’strip of alifetime

As a result of an impressive showing at regional level, Conleth will now join 23 other winners as they embark on the trip of a life-time.

The students will sample political life at Stormont, before moving south to Dublin and the Irish Parliament.

From there, Strasbourg provides their final destination and the opportunity to, not only immerse themselves in the atmosphere of such an arena, but to pitch some testing questions to the representatives present.

President Sean McKinley is delighted that Conleth is able to avail of such a wonderful programme.

“As Rotarians, we are only too keen to encourage young talent.

The enthusiasm and natural ability demonstrated by Conleth is testament to the sterling work carried out by his school,” said Sean.

“Indeed we are very fortunate to have forged close links with both secondary establishments in Ballycastle and hope that over the coming years, we have the pleasure of sending more pupils on such an adventure.

“We would like to acknowledge the effort of teachers, Miss Rosemary Black and Mrs Elaine McCallam, whose assistance is vital in identifying such talent,” he concluded.
