Consultation underway on A26 Dualling

ROADS Minister Danny Kennedy visited Ballymena last Wednesday to view the public exhibition of Roads Service proposals for the dualling of an eight kilometre stretch of the A26 Ballymena to Ballymoney road at Glarryford.

The two-day exhibition, staged at the Tullyglass Hotel, was part of a process of public consultation which continues until May 11.

Representatives from Roads Service, along with engineering and environmental consultants, were available at the exhibition to explain more about the scheme.

Danny Kennedy commented: “This is a strategically important road scheme and a new dual carriageway would improve road safety and reduce journey times.”
