Continental Market makes its first visit to Lisburn

THE Belfast Continental Market is making its first visit to Lisburn next week.

The market, which has attracted huge numbers in Belfast, will be in Lisburn Square on the 6th and 7th of May on the first leg of a Northern Ireland Tour.

The Belfast Continental Market tour is fast becoming a must see attraction as the traders from 26 countries as far afield as Morocco, India, Belgium, France, Russia, Tanzania, Spain and China visit towns and cities across Northern Ireland.

Gareth Foreman, Manager of Next at Lisburn Square, said he was delighted the market was making its first visit to the city.

He said:, “Lisburn Square offers a superb setting for the market and the retailers in the square are sure to add to what will be an exciting couple of days. We hope this will also attract people to Lisburn Square to see what great shops and services are available here all year round.”

Allan Ewart, Chairman of Lisburn City Centre Management, said he hoped the market would boost the local retail economy.

He said it would bring an injection of colour and excitement to Lisburn.

“We are delighted by prospect of the shopping experience this offers our residents and also by the boost it will give to our local retail economy” Mr Ewart said.

The Market arrives at Lisburn Square/Smithfield Square on Friday 6th May and runs for two days. During this period there will be restricted parking at Smithfield Square surface car park.
