Contract for SIAC

THE CONSTRUCTION company currently carrying out the public works in Lurgan and Portadown has won a major contract worth over €450 million to build a 35km motorway in Poland.

SIAC Construction will start work next month on the contract which is expected to take two years to complete.

John Geoghegan, SIAC operations director, said: "This will be an exciting challenge for us, and we have already deployed some of our senior managers to Poland to commence working on this project."

The project, which which is part of the motorway between Krakow and Rzeszow, includes 28 bridges.
