The appointment has been welcomed by Councillor Linda Dillon, Chair of the Council, “Work has begun in both Cookstown and Dungannon and good progress has been made in both. I’m pleased that Magherafelt is now also going to see the benefits of this level of investment in the town centre.

“I look forward now to seeing the scheme designs finalised and to engaging and working together with our retailers, businesses and residents to optimise the benefits own.”

The public realm works will be carried out in The Diamond and connecting streets including Market Street, Rainey Street, Broad Street and Queen Street, and the contractors are expected to be on site in late February/early March.
