Convicted of benefit fraud
A woman was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday, May 3) for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Roisin Purdy (36) of Victoria Street, Lurgan claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £2,775 while failing to declare employment. She was given a 12 month probation order.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained.
