Cooke Street assault probed
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted by another male in the Cooke Street area during the early hours of June 16.
The culprit is described as being approximately 6ft tall with tanned skin, bad teeth and short black hair.
The victim sustained a fractured cheekbone.
Anyone who was in the area and could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact Strand Road on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously with confidence through the "Crimestoppers" charity.
