Cooking skills programme

Keen cooks across the borough are being invited to hone their kitchen skills with a new nutrition education scheme.

The Cook it! programme has been developed by Carrickfergus Borough Council in partnership with Hearty Lives Carrickfergus.

Funded by the Public Health Agency, the six-week programme is aims to provide information on basic food hygiene and healthy eating.

It also addresses food costs and how to produce nutritious family meals on a budget. The first session will take place on Monday, October 6 from 7pm sharp at Carrick College.
