Cookstown dental nurse hosting table quiz for mercy mission to Cambodia

Claudia McClung, from Pomeroy is the only representative from the north to travel to the South East Asian country with the dental charity, Dentaid, which provides emergency dental treatment to those in dire need.

The quiz will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 7.30pm.

There will be lots of prizes and a raffle on the night.

The entry fee is £3 per person with teams of up to six people.

Fellow dental surgeons will be making the trip from England,as Claudia said.

“These people suffer daily in severe pain which can be treated,if they only had the resources, so we will be bringing equipment and a small team of dentists and nurses to do the best we can to help ease the suffering”,she said.

Among the initiatives undertaken by the charity Dentaid are fluoride advocacy,oral health projects in schools and projects that provide toothbrushes and toothpaste to deprived communities.
