David Archibald, 49, of Millburn Close, was charged with having a defective tyre and failing to wear his seat belt on December 7.

A Court heard how police on patrol on Coagh Street, stopped the defendant who was driving a Renault vehicle as they believed his speed to be in excess for the road conditions on that evening as it was icy. When police stopped Mr Archibald they noticed he wasn’t wearing his seat belt and he told officers he was in a rush to get to church. He was fined £215 and 3 points on his licence.
