Cookstown Pastor ‘Reaches Out’ to help those in need

A BAPTIST Pastor from Cookstown has complied a CD with contributions from some of the best gospel artists in the world, all in aid of helping those in need.

Pastor Marc Taylor, a former traffic warden in the town decided to put together a CD to raise funds for those less fortunate in society. On this CD Marc was able to secure the singing voices of Don Francisco and Erne Hass, two well-known American Gospel singers as well as some great local talent.

Marc said he was ‘moved by the Spirit of God’ to start up a new out reach called ‘Trawler Bus Ministries.’ Through Marc’s hard work and dedication he was able to get an old Ulsterbus and completely refurbish it to use in his new venture.

The bus has been completely revamped with comforatble seating, a fridge, tables and other equipment to help service and meet some of the needs of those who may be suffering on the streets in our community and indeed across the country.

The Trawler Bus reaches out across the North Coast and works in housing estates, night clubs and town centres.

Pastor Marc wants to help by sharing the gospel in a practical way and ultimately sharing with people the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Trawler bus project obviously had some financial costs, and there is still some work to be done to it such as adding a logo on the exterior which is why Pastor Marc decided to put the CD together, to raise money for the bus so that it can help people throughout the country.

Pastor Marc said that he wants the Trawler Bus to be a place for those in need to get help, and ‘to let them know that people care.’

The ‘Reach Out’ CD launch is taking place in Portstewart Baptist Church on 2nd February at 7.30pm.

Pastor Marc and all those involved would like to invite everyone to the launch and they will all be made very welcome.
