Tach, an eight-and-a-half-year-old Malinois Belgian Shepherd, will be going to live with his handler after “a productive working life as an evidence recovery and tactical firearms support dog” said the PSNI.

Police reported on Facebook that Tach will retire in a few week’s time and that his replacement has already been lined up.

New dog Quinn, should have completed his training just in time to join the ranks then.
