Cookstown shoppers help raise £40k for Hospice

ASDA in Cookstown is celebrating following the announcement that they have raised a weighty £40,000 for the Northern Ireland Hospice since April after an extensive fundraising campaign across all 16 Northern Ireland stores.

Asda’s newly appointed Community Life Champions, including Asda Cookstown’s Shaunagh Ryan, have worked tirelessly to encourage colleagues and customers alike to dig deep to support the worthy cause.

A raffle for a brand new Vauxhall Corsa acted as a tempting incentive to help raise the much-needed funds.

Aubrey Swift, Asda’s Regional Operations Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have raised such an incredible amount for this campaign and thank all those who gave so generously. We hope this donation will go a long way towards supporting the valuable care provided by those at the NI Hospice.”

The campaign stems from Asda’s new initiative, Community Life, a unique outreach programme aimed at making the communities around each store better places to live and work for colleagues and customers.
