Cookstown students' makeover for Lilac Cancer Support centre

The Prince's Trust students at South West College, Cookstown recently completed a two week community project at Lilac Cancer Support premises, Scotch Street, Dungannon.

The Princes Trust students at South West College, Cookstown recently completed a two week community project at Lilac Cancer Support premises, Scotch Street, Dungannon.

Students from South West College in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council, volunteered to spend two weeks transforming an overgrown outdoor area at Lilac. This space can now be enjoyed by visitors and staff of Lilac premises.

The course tutor Ms Leon Hughes commented: “This community project at Lilac Cancer Support in Dungannon was a great success. The students worked tirelessly to create a bright & welcoming space.”
