Charlene Scott, 20, of Killygarvan Road, was charged with the offence in relation to an incident on November 8, last year.
A court heard how police on patrol at around 12.15am stopped the defendant who was driving a Peugeot 207 on Killygarvan Road and asked her to produce her insurance.

Ms Scott told officers she was unable to produce it at that time, and officers informed her she had 7 days to produce it at a police station of her choice.
Ms Scott elected to produce it at Cookstown station but checks by officers revealed that the defendant had not produced any insurance within the time frame.
A defence solicitor for Ms Scott said her father had looked after her insurance and had the mistake rectified the next day. She was fined £265 and 6 points.
