Could you be a part of a LAG (Local Action Group)?

Causeway Coast and Glens Local Action Group (LAG) are now seeking to recruit new members to the Wider LAG.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals involved in rural life within the area to have an influence on activities undertaken by the Causeway Coast and Glens LAG.

The LAG board oversees the management of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme, which will run to December 2020. So far the LAG has allocated approximately £456,000 to supporting rural businesses, with further investment set to be announced in the upcoming weeks in regards to basic services in local communities. The LAG has a total budget of £7.87 million to spend on projects that will be located in the Causeway Coast and Glens Area.

The wider LAG plays a crucial role in guiding the board in its implementation of their Rural Development Strategy. The board seeks to continually engage with the wider LAG when formulating its objectives and to then feedback to the wider LAG when those objectives have been achieved.

Those interested in becoming a member of the Wider LAG will either work, live or have a reasonable interest in rural affairs within the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
