Could you be the first Miss Ulster?

Model scouts will be oin the lookout this Saturday in Newry Street as part of Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster.

The province-wide event will now replace the once city-focused contest following on from nine years of success for Miss Belfast.

The event will take place at the prestigious Stormont Buildings on Thursday November 17 and will now be open to applicants from around all of Northern Ireland and neighbouring counties, Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan.

The competition, organised by Michelle McTernan Management and, is on the lookout for girls aged between 18-25 years, five foot 7 or over and size 8-10. The CityBeat Street Team will also be scouting for potential finalists in Banbridge at Clubworld Travel’s premises on 63-65 Newry Street, Banbridge on Saturday November 5 between 1pm and 2pm.

Those interested in entering Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster should send a full length and head and shoulders snap shot to CityBeat, the event’s media partner, before Monday November 7.

Twelve finalists will be notified and invited to a prestigious evening at the historic Stormont Buildings, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their modelling talents on a runway, clad in stunning fashion from boutiques and high street stores from around the province.

The grand finale event will be hosted by CityBeat DJ Mark Lima and a panel of judges featuring Upper Bann MLA Jo-Anne Dobson will pick the first ever Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster, who will receive thousands of pounds worth of prizes.

Delia Aston, owner of Clubworld Travel, the event’s chief sponsor which has branches in Lurgan, Portadown, Banbridge and Newry said she is pleased to be involved in the new competition.
