Council and church in land deal

LARNE Borough Council has agreed to sell just over half-an-acre of ground to St Cedma’s Parish Church for £35,000.

The fee, set by the District Valuer, is said to reflect reduced market prices and lower than that first quoted to the parish in 2008 for the site next to the war memorial.

The council has also agreed to grant St Cedma’s right-of-way assess to the site.
