At the council’s monthly meeting last week, members were reminded that the provision of directional signage on public roads is the responsibility of TransportNI, who advised that they are able to facilitate directional signage requests where adequate car parking is available.

“TransportNI have advised that the cost for the provision of each double sided sign would be approximately £490, therefore the total cost for the four signs will be approximately £1,960,” a report to members stated.

It was proposed by Cllr Jim Bingham, seconded by Cllr Philip Brett and agreed that the four signs should be provided at a cost of £1,960.
