Council begins work on Local Development Plan
The finished plan will guide development in the borough until 2030.
The council has also launched the booklet ‘Towards Preferred Options’, which provides information about the plan. It details how interested parties can get involved in the process and have their say on the future development of the borough.

Hide AdSpeaking at the launch, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Cllr Thomas Hogg said: “In preparing our new plan we will be aiming to positively and proactively guide development in the borough so that we can improve the quality of life for our residents. The start of work announced today therefore marks a new era, in terms of planning, for our council and our borough.”
