Council call bus meeting
COUNCILLORS are to meet with representatives of both Roads Service and Translink at Wellington Street bus stop next week to investigate concerns over traffic flow.
Correspondence had been sent to Council at the end of November from a resident of the borough highlighting traffic problems in the vicinity of the ‘stop’ and claiming that buses were, as a result, stopping in the lane of traffic in order to let passengers on board. Councillors attending Thursday night’s Spatial Planning Committee meeting of Council agreed that a meeting be held on site with Road Service, Translink and the concerned resident on Wednesday morning, January 16.
