Council cuts cost of swimming

The offer is sure to make a splash, with customers able to make a saving of up to £2.70.

“With two swimmers only having to pay for one it is the perfect time for everyone to give it a go,” a council spokesperson explained. “Those inspired by the fantastic swimming teams in the London Olympics can get down to Sixmile and see how many lengths they can do - it’s a great way to keep fit and lots of fun too. The saving is also likely to be much appreciated by families who may be running out of cheap ways to keep the kids entertained over the summer months.”

Neil McGowan, Operations Manager at the Sixmile Leisure Centre added: “This fantastic two-for-one offer is only on during August so swimmers should make sure they don’t miss out. The Sixmile pool has always been a hit with those who love to swim, splash or just relax. Now with the reduced cost, swimming at the Sixmile has never been better.”

The offer applies on Friday nights during August between 6pm and 9.45pm.
