Council grant for Special Olympic hopefuls

The Games will be held in Limerick this summer.

If the ten athletes are successful at the National Games, they will qualify for the Special Olympics World Games in Athens, Greece, in 2011.

At Tuesday’s Leisure and Environment committee members agreed to grant 1,500 towards the costs entailed by the athletes of travelling to Limerick.
