Council grants for jubileecelebrations
LISBURN City Council has agreed that the eligibility criteria applied to last year’s grant to mark the Royal Wedding be used again to allocate grants to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.
It was also agreed that delegated authority be granted to the Chairman of Leisure Services, in consultation with the Director of Leisure Services, to determine the final grant levels to a maximum of £500 within an agreed budget of £10,000, and, in the event of the scheme being over subscribed, a draw be organised to award grants of an equal number in each electoral area, as in line with previous practice.
