Council holding Back to Work event

The free session is aimed at those people who are keen to find work and will help participants learn a completely new approach with helpful ideas, tips and practical advice on how to earn money and build a career.

Martin Clark, Economic Development Officer, said; “we are keen to support all local people who are unemployed and also those in work but would like to get a better job.

“With more than 1800 people currently claiming unemployment benefit in the Borough of Coleraine, it is important they are given opportunities to find jobs. The Back to Work event is a unique chance to hear how to get a job that you really want.

“The economic development section in Council is pleased to be working in conjunction with the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership to bring this event to Coleraine and make it free to attend.

“The Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership covers the Ballysally, Millburn and Churchlands areas in Coleraine and these areas have particularly high numbers of unemployed and so we would be particularly delighted to see people from those areas attending on Friday”.

The purpose of the event is to develop confident communities and stimulate economic activity. The event will also seek to create a sustainable environment and improve social conditions in the wider community by interactive exploration of a new approach to assessing career choices.

Back to Work will help anyone who is keen to find work. The event will run from 9.30am-1pm (lunch included). Anyone wishing to attend must register in advance.
