PLANS are well underway on a number of events celebrating the Diamond Jubilee weekend from Friday until Tuesday, June 1-5.

The total amount allocated for the celebrations amount to under £28,000 and not as originally forecast £50,000.

“There are lots of things happening on that weekend most of which are free,” commented the Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Alan Carson, “so stay at home that weekend and help us Celebrate in Craigavon. We hope that as many people as possible will come and join in with the celebrations.”
