Council launches '˜Best Kept Garden' competition

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has launched their Best Kept Garden competition, which is open to all residents within the borough.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor John Scott, said: “This is a great way to enjoy some good neighbourly competition. Don’t worry if you don’t have a garden, you can still use plant pots, containers, window boxes or hanging baskets.

“The kids can also get involved by entering the tallest sunflower category.”

Gold, silver and bronze prizes will be awarded to the Best Garden, Best Street and Tallest Sunflower (under 18s only).

Closing date for entries is Sunday, July 31.
