Council launches the Easter Sports Camps

Coleraine Borough Council is inviting children to register for its Easter sport and recreation programme, which will run from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th April.

The programme, developed by Council’s Sport Development and Physical Recreation Team is aimed at young people aged between four and fourteen years. Activities will include football, multi-sports coaching camps, a Girls ‘Allowed’ Fun Activity Camp and a brand new activity; a stand-alone hockey camp for boys and girls aged 7 to 14 years, which will be held at Council’s new Astroturf facility at Rugby Avenue!

There will be a number of camps in the programme this year, taking place from Wednesday April 8 to Friday April 10.

A free transport collection service to include pick up and returns for young people living in rural areas of the Borough, details of which are available on the leaflet.

A multi-sports camp will also be available for boys and girls aged seven to fourteen years old, offering a choice of selected sports each day which includes Handball, Netball, Gaelic football, Tri-Golf, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Sportshall Athletics, Tennis and Tag Rugby.

Roger Downey, Sports Development and Physical Recreation Manager at Coleraine Borough Council encouraged everyone to enrol: “This year’s programme is the most varied Council has produced as part of its Easter Sports and Recreation Programme.”

Enrolment will commence on Friday, March 13 at 10.00am at Coleraine Leisure Centre.
